How Expedition works
- At a dig site you place a limited set of explosives that link into a fuse line and detonate in sequence — where you put each charge decides what gets unearthed and what you have to fight.
- Remnants caught in the blast add modifiers to the unearthed monsters: harder fights in exchange for bigger rewards. Flagged markers reveal buried chests or Runic Monsters, the toughest and most rewarding spawns.
- Runic Monsters drop Expedition Logbooks. Using a logbook opens a dedicated expedition area, and Grand Expeditions scale the whole mechanic up — far more explosives across a giant dig site full of chests, caves and special encounters.
- The Grand Expedition questline follows the four Kalguuran legends — Medved, Vorana, Uhtred and Olroth — and ends beyond the Verisium Crater, where the reforged Triskelion opens the way to the final confrontation with the Aberration.
