What is a Divine Orb?
The Divine Orb is one of the most sought-after currency items in Path of Exile 2. Functionally it is a crafting currency, but because it is rare and consistently in demand, it has become the community's default store of value — the “gold standard” that high-end items, build-enabling uniques and bulk trades are priced in. When a build guide says an item costs “3 div”, it means three Divine Orbs.
Because everyone agrees on its worth, the Divine Orb is the most liquid bridge between the cheap, everyday Chaos Orb economy and the expensive end of the market. That is exactly why a reliable, up-to-date Divine Orb price matters: it is the exchange rate the rest of the economy is measured against.
What does a Divine Orb do?
A Divine Orb re-randomises the numeric values of the random modifiers already on an item. Each explicit modifier rolls within a fixed range — for example “+40 to 79 Maximum Life” — and a Divine Orb rerolls every such value to a new number inside its range. It does not add, remove or change which modifiers are present.
That makes the Divine Orb a finishing currency. You use it once an item already has the right combination of modifiers and you want to push those rolls closer to their maximum. Divining an item with poorly-rolled mods is usually a waste — you are gambling the orb's value on a better number, with no guarantee of improvement.
Divine Orb price & value
The live Divine Orb price at the top of this page is pulled hourly from poe.ninja for the current league. A Divine Orb is currently worth about 25.8 Chaos Orbs. Early in a league the rate is volatile and tends to climb as players accumulate wealth and demand for high-end crafting grows; it then stabilises as the economy matures.

How to get Divine Orbs
Divine Orbs drop directly from monsters, chests and bosses, but the drop rate is low — you cannot reliably farm them one kill at a time. The practical way most players earn Divine Orbs is indirectly:
- Sell valuable rare items, uniques and league drops on the trade market and accumulate the proceeds into Divine Orbs.
- Run efficient endgame content — the higher your currency-per-hour, the faster the Divine Orbs add up. Compare strategies on the Farming page.
- Bulk-sell stacks of lower currencies and fragments via the Currency Exchange, then convert the profit into Divine.
In other words, you usually trade your way to Divine Orbs rather than finding them. Pricing your drops correctly is the bottleneck — the Bulk Pricer turns a full inventory into a single buyout number in seconds.
How to use a Divine Orb
Right-click a Divine Orb and left-click a magic, rare or unique item to reroll its modifier values. Before you do, ask two questions: (1) does the item already have the modifiers I want, and (2) is the realistic value gain worth more than the orb itself?
Divine Orbs are best spent on items where a single roll has a wide range and a big impact — a top-tier life or damage roll on an otherwise perfect item, or fixing a low roll on an expensive unique. For everything else, the smarter play is usually to buy the upgrade outright on the trade market rather than gamble the orb.

Divine Orb FAQ

What does a Divine Orb do in Path of Exile 2?
A Divine Orb re-randomises the numeric values of all random (explicit) modifiers on an item, within each modifier’s existing range. It does not add, remove or change which modifiers are present — it only rerolls their values, which is why it is used to perfect an already well-rolled rare or unique item.
How do you get Divine Orbs in POE2?
Divine Orbs drop rarely from monsters, chests and bosses across the campaign and endgame. Most players accumulate them by selling valuable items and bulk currency on the trade market rather than relying on drops. Higher-tier mapping and league mechanics improve your currency-per-hour, which you can compare on the Farming page.
Is the Divine Orb the most valuable currency in POE2?
The Divine Orb is the de facto high-value benchmark currency that most expensive trades are priced in, but it is not always the single rarest item. Mirror-tier items and some league-specific drops can be worth many Divine Orbs each. Divine is simply the most liquid “store of value”, which is why prices are quoted in it.
Should I use a Divine Orb or save it?
Only use a Divine Orb when an item already has the right modifiers and you specifically want better numeric values — and ideally only when the potential value gain exceeds the orb’s cost. For most players, Divine Orbs are better spent buying upgrades on the trade market than gambled on rerolls.
